A little about ourselvesLive-Arts was founded by Robert Eggleston, an independent media consultant, as a means of promoting the music, and arts he loves. It was originally entirely focussed on Burgess Hill in West Sussex as Burgess Hill Alive bit the likely loss of the town's main public arts venue has led to a change of strategy. It is a not for profit enterprise.
Live-Arts is about great live arts and entertainment. Lots of folk, original singer songwriters, up and coming performers in most genres, the spoken word and dance. Nothing beats live entertainment and we must work hard to keep it local. |
Recent NewsBurgess Hill lost its community arts venue the Martlets Hall in 2017 and it is being demolished. However, the town is committed to creating a new community arts venue in the town and has just been given planning permission for a new building which will be called THE BEEHIVE.
The ambition is to start building it in 2021 |
